Congratulations to Jake Gailey and Zack Schroeder of the CVHS band. They both earned chairs in the Mideast Honor Band! Try outs were in Wagoner on Jan. 22. Performance will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oologah High School.
On Tuesday, the Caney Valley seniors will be recognized at 5:45 p.m. at the gym before the Trojans take on the Nowata Ironmen at their last home game for the season. Please join the seniors and their families as they celebrate their accomplishments on and off the court.

Members of the Fisk-Leffler American Legion Post No. 334 and Women’s Auxiliary will host a SOLD OUT “Gratitude Dinner and Auction” that will be held this Saturday. The dinner and auction is a fundraiser for both the Post and the Auxiliary. The women are making a Mexican feast and there will be a live and silent auction! The main goal of the event is to thank those who made this happen. The Fisk-Leffler American Legion Post is open for business! This gorgeous remodeled early 1900s building can seat up to 150 people. They have a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious bathrooms that are large enough for wedding parties, and new round table seating that is available. Looking for a place to hold your family reunion, bridal shower or home-based business party? The Ramona Senior Citizen building is for rent for $25 a day. It contains a full kitchen, restroom and seating for right at 65 people. It is the perfect location to have your holiday events as it is located right next to the park and there is also covered outdoor tables/seating and room to grill! Kick off a healthy 2018 by attending attend Zach Fanning’s Boot Camp each Wednesday night at 5:45 p.m. at the Ramona American Legion. The cost is $10 per person and you will get your money’s worth. The great part is, he encourages you, you can go at your own pace and you get an entire 60 minutes of un-interrupted girl time.
The Ramona Senior Citizens meet at the Senior Citizen on Main Street every Tuesday at 10 a.m. to play games and stay for lunch! The first and third Tuesdays of the month, the Washington County Nutrition Services brings lunch at noon and the cost is $2 per person. The other weeks of the month, attendees are to bring a dish for a pot luck lunch. Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. are a great time to visit the Ramona Senior Center and join the yoga fun, this is open to all ages.
