You won’t need an excuse to pull your kids out of class for the long-awaited Eagles Super Bowl parade Thursday if they attend a Philadelphia School District school.

All district schools and administrative offices will be closed Thursday, officials announced.

“The excitement of the Eagles first Super Bowl victory is a once in a lifetime event,” Schools Superintendent William R. Hite, said Monday. “For this reason we have decided to give our students, teachers and their families the chance to witness history.”

All Philadelphia archdiocesan schools in the five-county region will also close for the parade, the archdiocese announced.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue and wind up Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the Art Museum.
