Ex-Burger King worker strikes plea deal in drive-thru pot case

A former Epping Burger King worker arrested last year on charges he used the drive-thru to sell marijuana is expected to plead guilty to a reduced charge and serve a year in jail.

At the time of the arrest, Epping police said investigators had learned that buyers would pull up to the drive-thru speaker and ask if “Nasty Boy” was working. Police Chief Michael Wallace said “Nasty Boy” referred to Garrett Norris, 22, of Raymond.

If he was there, they would order their meal and ask for “fries, extra crispy,” which police claimed was the code for a marijuana sale.

Norris is to plead guilty Friday to a possession of marijuana charge, a class A misdemeanor.

He was indicted last year on one count each of possession with intent to dispense and sale of a controlled drug, but those charges will be dismissed, according to the plea agreement.

Norris will spend a year in the Rockingham County jail and face a $500 fine that will be suspended for two years based on good behavior.

Norris will be placed on probation for a year after his release from jail.

He was arrested after an undercover police investigation at the Burger King on Route 125 last January.
