Storm Center Update- Monday AM, February 5th

Good Morning!

Snow is falling across parts of KELOLAND this morning with a winter weather advisory in effect for much of southeastern KELOLAND.  Futurescan shows this quick hit of snow as it moves through the south this morning.

Snowfall amounts of 2-5" expected in Sioux Falls.  You can see how the heavier totals stay mainly south of I-90.  Winds will switch to the north through the day, but at speeds around 10-20 mph.

Highs will be chilly with everyone below normal.

Clear skies and light winds will bring very cold temperatures tonight, mainly below zero over the east.

Another round of light snow could develop tomorrow with temperatures remaining chilly.

Get ready for another round of snow late Thursday into Friday.  This one could easily produce another swath of accumulation snow in parts of KELOLAND.  We'll take a closer look at the timing and intensity of the system later today and tomorrow.

Notice temperatures stay below normal all week.  We'll wait and see if we can bring some 30s back next week.  Stay warm!
