Bayhealth will offer free mammograms in February to those who are uninsured and underinsured.
Free mammograms in February will be provided 10-11:30 a.m. Feb. 20, Bayhealth Outpatient Center, 401 N. Carter Road, Smyrna; 1-3 p.m. Feb. 20, Bayhealth Outpatient Center, 209 E. Main St., Middletown; 9-11 a.m. Feb. 21, Bayhealth Cancer Center; 21 W. Clarke Ave., Milford; and 2-4 p.m. Feb. 21, Bayhealth Women’s Center, 540 S. Governors Ave., Dover.
Optimal breast care includes a combination of monthly breast self-exams, an annual physical exam and screening mammography. The American College of Radiology recommends annual mammography starting at age 40.
