Miami University will welcome former RedHawks star Wally Szczerbiak (SIR'-bee-ak) when he returns to broadcast a basketball game.
The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reports Szczerbiak will be a part of the CBS Sports Network broadcast team during Miami's game against Toledo on Friday.
Miami head coach Jack Owens says it's great when alumni visit and talk to current players. Miami Athletics will hold "Wally Night" in Szczerbiak's honor.
Szczerbiak led Miami to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 1999 for the only time in school history. Szczerbiak was named an All-American and a finalist for the Wooden player of the year award. He went on to play 12 seasons in the NBA.
In a statement, Szczerbiak says that he looks forward to returning to campus and that he is excited about Miami basketball.
