• Paul Osterberg, who owns and operates H&R Block franchise offices in Osakis and Long Prairie, has been selected as an H&R Block Top 100 Franchisee. The Top 100 Award recognizes individual franchisees who have shown leadership traits, service to their community and who do the right thing for their clients. Those who are recognized were chosen for their outstanding business performance. H&R Block franchisees operate nearly 3,400 H&R Block offices nationally.
• Sanford Health Alexandria has welcomed Aisha Rush as a new OB/GYN. Rush received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, with one year at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, one year at State University of New Year Health Sciences Center-Brooklyn, and the final year at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. • The new plant manager of 3M Alexandria is Paul Quam. Previously the plant manager of the 3M facility in Cumberland, Wisconsin, Quam brings with him over 20 years of 3M engineering and manufacturing leadership experience. Quam and his family return to Alexandria for his second leadership assignment at 3M Alexandria.
• Two trustees from Douglas County Hospital were about 15 Minnesota hospital leaders recently recognized by the Minnesota Hospital Association for completing comprehensive certification training. Charlie Meyer and Larry Ortloff took 35 hours of coursework designed to prepare them to meet the growing demands of serving on a hospital board and to be strong health care and community leaders. Trustees received training on healthcare trends, governance best practices, ethics, government regulations, patient safety and quality.
