STAR’s Joaquin Henson asked the rising Filipino star his thoughts on the bout, including his commendable display of sportsmanship when he approached and consoled the fallen Gonzalez right after the stoppage.
Ancajas knocked Gonzalez down once in the opening round then twice more in the 10th canto to post the impressive win in his first appearance in the US. It was the 26-year-old boxer’s fourth successful title defense and his first fight under Top Rank Inc.
