For this one, I am going to break the fourth wall and speak to all of you. Although I work and love to bring you news from New Jersey, I was born, raised and live in Philadelphia.
Part of living in Philadelphia is being introduced as an Eagles fan, or as my parents affectionately calls me "Homer," not because I am bald and have an affinity for donuts, because I follow all of the Philadelphia teams while my dad is a Cowboys fan.
The fans of Philadelphia have a stigma attached to them, one that quite frankly seems to be focused only on them. Sure you have your fans that act like idiots at games but don't we all have that one family member that we look to and just shake our heads when they do something dumb? All throughout Sunday after the Eagles won the Super Bowl, most of the the city of Philadelphia kept cool and celebrated peacefully.

While covering the post-game scene at the popular gathering spot at the intersection of Frankford and Cottman Avenue, there were people coming out in droves, giving Eagles chants and singing the Eagles fight song and having a good time. There were a couple of not-so-smart people who climbed up a light pole. I saw what other fans did on Broad Street near City Hall — Climbed light poles, flipped a car or two, brought down an awning at a hotel, set jerseys on fire — and the nearby gas station and would not condone their actions.
