A 20-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at his residence in Bhim Nagar under Jehangirabad police station area on Saturday.
According to the police, the deceased Ramkumar was found hanging in the afternoon by the family members. Police were informed and based on the information a police team reached the spot and started investigation.
The deceased committed suicide late in the afternoon. The deceased after having lunch went to his room and later he was found hanging by parents at around 4.30 pm and was rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police have not found any suicide note and no reason was found behind the suicide. The reason would be investigated.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man committed suicide by hanging at his shop at Patanjali Parisar under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Saturday.
According to police, the deceased Sardar Jitendra Singh was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.The deceased used to work with a private firm.
Police said that the deceased was found hanging at his house at around 4 pm. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and have started further investigation.
The reason behind the suicide remains unknown and would be investigated.
