ParkOhio acquires Canton Drop Forge Inc.

Park-Ohio Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: PKOH) has acquired Canton Drop Forge Inc., the company announced in a news release.

Mayfield Heights-based ParkOhio is a provider of capital equipment, manufactured components and a supply chain management service.

Canton Drop Forge, a forging operation based in Canton, serves customers in heavy industrial applications like the aerospace, off-highway and oil and gas markets, said ParkOhio CFO Pat Fogarty. The company has about 200 employees. Fogarty declined to share Canton Drop Forge's annual sales, but noted that ParkOhio expects the business to grow. It is a strategic acquisition to the company's existing Kropp Forge business.

Terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed, Fogarty said.

"The addition of CDF to our current Forged and Machined Products Group will enhance the company's international aerospace profile," Park-Ohio chairman and CEO Edward F. Crawford said in the release.
