Huawei P20 breaks cover in leaked case render with a triple-lens camera in tow

It’s no secret that Huawei is gearing up to launch a new flagship in March – and the latest leaks suggest it’s going to be called the Huwaei P20. Here’s everything we’ve heard about the handset, including its release date, specs, features and price.
WinFuture’s Roland Quandt took to Twitter on January 27 to reveal that Huawei is working on a trio of new smartphones: the Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite and Huawei P20 Plus – with the former set to headline the range as the firm’s much-anticipated flagship smartphone of 2018.

Quandt also cast a light on the various colour options the handsets will ship in. The Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Plus will be available in Ceramic Black and Twilight, while the more affordable Huawei P20 Lite will come in Klein Blue, Midnight Black and Sakura Pink, apparently.
Huawei P20 Design and Specs: What does it look like, and is it a beast?
The Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite and Huawei P20 Plus all broke cover in a drop shared on leak aggregator SlashLeaks on February 5 – with the former and latter touting a triple-lens camera equipped with a dual-LED flash, and the middle a dual-lens shooter.

Little is known about the specifics of the Huawei P20 Lite and Huawei P20 Plus. A recent leaked promotional poster, however, points towards the flagship Huawei P20 shipping with a 40-megapixel triple-lens camera setup, complete with a five-times hybrid zoom and a 24-megapixel selfie shooter.

The handset, which was once believed to be branded the Huawei P11, is also tipped to feature a 5.8-inch IPS ultra-tall screen (1440 x 2960 pixels), a 3GHz Kirin 970 octa-core processor, at least 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable internal storage and a 3,200mAh non-removable battery.
Huawei P20 Price and Release Date: When does it come out, and how much will it cost?
Bruce Lee, Huawei’s VP of Smartphones, revealed back in 2017 that Huawei will “probably” launch all future flagships at Mobile World Congress, leading many to believe that it will showcase the oft-rumoured Huawei P20 at MWC 2018 in Barcelona at the end of February.

But it would appear that isn’t going to be the case as the firm has since sent out invitations to a standalone event it’s holding in Paris, France on March 27, where it’s expected to announce not only the flagship Huawei P20, but also the Huawei P20 Lite and Huawei P20 Plus.

There’s no word on pricing for the Huawei P20, let alone the Huawei P20 Lite and Huawei P20 Plus, just yet. That said, if the flagship adheres to the same pricing scheme as its predecessor, the Huawei P10, it should be priced somewhere in the region of £550 ($650) to £650 ($750).
