MILTON – One man was ticketed Sunday night after his BMW crashed into the Thomas Family Dental Associates building on Adams Street.
The accident was reported at about 6:10 p.m. Saturday. Milton police arrived to find that a car had gone through the front brick wall of the building at 99 Adams St.
The crash involved four vehicles, one of which was parked, police said. There were no injuries.
When the driver of a 2007 BMW that had been stopped at the intersection of Randolph Avenue and Adams Street tried to make a left turn onto Adams Street, the BMW sideswiped a 2012 Nissan Rogue that was headed toward East Milton and then rear-ended a 2012 Honda Accord that was headed toward Boston, Milton Police Deputy Chief James O’Neil said.
“That caused him (the BMW driver) to careen out of control, and he hit a parked car in front of 99 Adams St. and then went into the storefront,” O’Neil said.
Police said the town’s building inspector determined that the building was not structurally damaged in the accident. The property owner hired a company to board up the damaged area, and the dental office was open Monday.
The driver of the BMW was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked-lanes violation. There were no arrests.
