‘Aasmaan se gira aur khajur par atka’ is a common idiom used in Hindi which means that one gets out of one trouble and gets stuck into another. A similar thing happened with an 86-year-old elderly man who fell from balcony and got stuck on an advertising board outside his building. The incident occurred in east China’s Anhui province and his thrilling rescue was recorded in a video which has gone viral since then. The man whose identity has not been disclosed fell from his balcony on the second floor in Anqing City, Taihu County. The incident was reported by CCTV+. Firefighters were called and the man was rescued when they showed up with ladders to help the man climb down to the ground.
The firefighters first tried to rescue the man by pulling him out but that did not solve the problem. Then they tied a rope round him so that he does not fall any further and get injured in the process. CCTV+ shared a video in which the rescue attempt was recorded. In the video the firefighters can be seen climbing up the advertising hoarding to cut off the steel bars in which the old man was stuck. Fortunately the old man was not majorly hurt and the advertising board stopped his fall, otherwise he might not have got a second chance at life if he had not got stuck in the advertising board.
