Kopay Police says that a 9-year-old girl had died in a freak accident while she was playing in a swing made of a saree yesterday (Feb. 04).
Police said that the little girl's neck had stuck in the swing which led to her being getting strangled.
It was found that the little girl was deaf and her parents were also deaf.
The girl was at home alone when the tragedy struck and police said that the girl had died instantaneously following the accident.
The parents have seen the girl’s neck had stuck in the swing after returning home and they have taken the girl to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
However, it was found she was already dead.
