Telefonica Germany is aiming to be the first network operator in Germany to provide voice calls via LTE (VoLTE) and over WiFi (VoWiFi) for all customers of its home brands and partner brands, including prepaid and postpaid customers. The company said it will gradually implement these services across its individual brands and customer groups by the end of March, delivering improved voice quality and expanded network coverage at no extra cost.

Customers must have access to the LTE network and a VoLTE-enabled mobile device to use VoLTE. To use VoWiFi, customers must have access to both a Wi-Fi network and a suitable VoWiFi-enabled mobile device.
