LCRD registering spring sports

The Liberty County Recreation Department is registering now for track and field, youth and adult volleyball and spring soccer through Feb. 9 at LCRD.

More details below.

LCRD track and field:

This program is for Liberty County residents who turn 7 and do not turn 15 prior to Jan. 1, 2019.

Age divisions are 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 for both boys and girls.

This program will start in early March. Cost for the program is $20 per participant.

A birth certificate or other age verification must be on file at LCRD for all participants. Volunteers are needed to coach teams and help with timing and scoring. On-line registration is available at www.lcrd.net. For additional information, call 876-5359.

Volleyball:

The youth program is for ages 10-15 and the fee is $20 per child. Ages 16 and older may participate in the adult program. The cost for adult team entries is $150 per team. Practices will start in early March with matches beginning late March.

Spring soccer:

This program is for Liberty County residents that are between the ages of 4 and 14 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2018. The fee is $30 per child for ages 4-7 and $45 per child for ages 8-15.

The program will start in February and end in April.

Volunteer coaches are needed for all youth teams. On-line registration is available at www.lcrd.net.
