Imphal, February 03 2018: TRAU, Kwakeithel today outclassed YWC, Langthabal in the third quarter final match of 1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Langthabal Sporting Club at Langthabal Public Ground.

The fourth quarter final match staged today in the afternoon saw, CYCLONE, Thangmeiband beat CHAMP, Khagempalli by 13 runs for a place in the semifinal.

TRAU who won the toss and elected to bat first started the inning with an immense batting performance as Abbas Ali smashed an outstanding 84 runs off 47 runs.

Saroj of the same team gathered another 38 runs off 42 balls while Priyojit made 25 runs in 14 balls to rack up a total of 163 runs for 4 in 20 overs.

Sunil and Prakashmani of YWC picked one wicket each in 4 overs and 3 overs.

In reply, YWC slumped to a paltry 77 runs for all wickets down in 18 overs as they could not withstand pace length of Saroj who picked 4 wickets today.

Prafulo who scored 10 runs was the highest scorer for YWC while Kishan made 8 runs in 3 balls to give TRAU a huge 85 run victory.

Abbas Ali was named man of the match.

In the last quarter final match of the tournament, CYCLONE came over CHAMP, Khagempalli with a 13 run victory to advance into the semi finals.

CYLONE who opted to bat first posted a total of 126 runs for 9 in 20 overs.

Prime made 28 runs in 36 balls while Bikash scored 19 runs in 14 balls in this inning.

William also contributed 15 runs facing 12 balls.

Kenedy and Madav of CHAMP, Khagempalli took 2 wickets each in this innings while Ravi claimed one offering 19 runs in 4 overs.

CHAMP's chase came to end at 113 runs for 9 in 20 over as the batsmen could not produce a bright side today.

Homendro of CYCLONE enjoyed a 4-wicket haul in this inning and considerably helped in restricting the chase which ultimately booked them a place in the semis.

Madav made 27 runs off 34 balls becoming the highest scorer for his team while Arpit and Rajesh scored 16 runs and 15 runs facing 12 balls and 15 balls respectively.

Bikash of CYCLONE also claimed 2 wickets offering 20 runs in 4 overs.

Homendro was declared man of the match.

REYS, Nagamapal will face PTRC, Patsoi on February 6 in the first semi-final match while TRAU will meet CYCLONE on February 7 in the last semi-final match.
