Nick Foles is better than Tom Brady.
At catching passes.
Foles, the first-time Super Bowl participant, caught a touchdown pass in a play that almost seemed like the Eagles trolling the Patriots after the five-time Super Bowl champion Brady let a reception slip through his fingers on a similar trick play.
Foles' 1-yard touchdown reception from tight end Trey Burton (a former college quarterback) came after gambling Eagles coach Doug Pederson elected to go for it on fourth down from the Patriots' 1-yard line rather than kicking a field goal in the final minute of the first half.
The touchdown gave the Eagles a 22-12 halftime lead.

"Well, we had just gone all the way down the field and I wasn't going to let the offense be stopped at the 1," Pederson said on the NBC broadcast. "It's a play we've been working on and the guys executed it well. We got 30 minutes of football [left]. We have to play for a full 30 minutes. They're too good on the other side of the football."
Pederson's aggressive and gutsy play-calling was one of the pre-Super Bowl storylines. He also went for a two-point conversion with his team leading 15-3, trying to chase the point lost on a missed PAT in the first quarter.
That failed.
The decision to throw a pass to Foles -- which came out of a timeout, after the Patriots defense set up -- did not.
And it has a chance to be an iconic Super Bowl moment if the Eagles hang on.
