A seven-day theatre festival would begin from Monday at Shaheed Bhavan. The comedy theatre festival ‘12th Bhopal Rang Mahotsav’ is all about the comedy plays that will tickle the ribs of theatre buffs of the city.
The Drama Festival 12th Bhopal Rang Mahotsav will present seven stage shows for the audiences. The festival is being organized by Nav Nritya Natya Sanstha, Bhopal.
While talking about it, founder director of the group Tarun Dutt said, “Earlier we had staged a comedy play in the city and a huge positive response by the audiences motivated us to organise a theatre festival on a huge level.”
He further said that laughter is the medicine to all worries. Laughter is the only way when a person can forget about his stressful life and can live a hassle free moments. So, most of the plays included in the drama festival shares comedy genre.
On Monday the theatre-goers of the city would witness a hilarious drama ‘Tikdam Tikdam Dha’ directed by Vivek Mradul Savrikar. On the second day of the festival, play ‘Bad Bad Savitri’. The play is directed by Smith Mehta.
On the third day of the festival ‘Arrey Shareef Log’ directed by Ahmed Khan would be staged. Play ‘Haye Mera Dil’ would be staged on fourth day. The play is directed by Jagdeesh Sharma from Sagar. On the fifth day of the theatre fest, Hindi play ‘Shreeman Chor’ directed by Vibha Chibber from Mumbai will be performed.
On the sixth day, play Pati Gaye Re Kathiyawar, directed by Ajit Choudhry from New Delhi will be performed. The fest will have a conclusion with the play Chhoti Badi Baatien by Rajiv Verma.
