ABU DHABI: Making the best use of the recycled products in a productive way and to mark the 2018 UAE Innovation Month are the students of Cambridge High School, Abu Dhabi, showcasing their creativity at the Abu Dhabi Science Festival which is currently running at the Abu Dhabi Corniche until Feb 7.

The participating students have made the best use of recycled products to make drip irrigation, hydraulic crane, eco garden with tyres, home security system and a windmill.

Speaking to The Gulf Today students Joel Franco Hilton and Joe Anto Hilton said, “Since most of us live in flats with lack of soil space for a garden we came upon an idea to make a kit which would make plants grow without soil.” “Hydroponics is the method of growing plants without soil, only in water.

To make this kit we have used a wooden frame, some pep bottles, pipes, small tubes and a water immersed motor,” added Immanuel Herbert and Alphonsa Henry. Another solution is green house where with limited resources and space we can grow organics crops in our flats, office and school.  This is a small little house made with reusing plastic bottles fixed with nails to the wooden frame,” explained Kiyara Melisha Pinto, Amelia Mary Gonsalvez and Nathanael Anthony Gonsalvez.
