Even in an afternoon devoted to incredible feats of athleticism, Tom Cruise's stunt work makes an impression. 

Paramount dropped the very first trailer for Mission: Impossible - Fallout, featuring the return of Ethan Hunt on yet another convoluted mission that's really just an excuse for death-defying action. Not that we're complaining. 

Chris McQuarrie is at the helm, making him the first director to return for a second Mission: Impossible movie – he also did the last one, Rogue Nation. 

Mission: Impossible - Fallout is in theaters July 27.
