MANILA, Philippines — The World Slasher Cup Invitational nine-cock derby resumes today with qualifiers with 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points clashing in the four-cock finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
A total of nine gamefowl breeders posted 5-0 (win-loss) cards each in last Saturday’s semifinal round, including latest winners Arnold Mendoza and Hector Magpantay.
Other five pointers are Astig endorser Biboy Enriquez of Excellence, Rep. Patrick Antonio (two entries), Jimmy Junsay, Cholo Violago, Jojo Alcovendaz and Jess Moradas.
Staying in the title hunt with four wins each are Felix Gatchalian of Green Monarch entry, Joey Sy/Noel Jarin, M. Villanueva, Doc Marvin Rocafort, Henry Teves, lawyer Manny Gragasin, Joey Melendres of Australia with JHU Team Okay, Max Benedicto, Femie Medina, Jay Soria, Jay Garganera of Guam and Nestor Vendivil.
