It was a match that had everything that we have come to expect from a match involving these two sides, goals from Kane and Salah, goals in general, amazing defensive errors and some peculiar refereeing. Spurs definitely deserved to get a point from this the way they played the second half but they got two extremely soft penalties, one of which Kane converted. That goal came after Salah channeled the Lionel Messi in him to score his, and Liverpool’s second of the night. The crescendo of an atmosphere finally came together in a chorus of boos at the end of the match.

Boos are the only thing you will here if you just landed in Liverpool. Spurs were brilliant in the second half and maybe they deserved the draw but the fact remains that they got two penalties today that would not have been given on another. Klopp rushes in to pull his players off the referee after putting up some sarcastic applause for Harry Kane. But at the end of it all, WHAT. A. GAME
Harry Kane converts from the penalty spot this time but that was nothing more than a farcical penalty. For the second time tonight, a Spurs player dives and gets a spot kick
And Liverpool back in front, Kane can kick himself more now. Salah dances past two Spurs defender before putting it over Lloris from a tight angle and Jurgen Klopp runs at the speed of sound
Well how about that! Kane takes the kick and it is straight at the keeper. Karius parries it away and Spurs sky the rebound. Very poor penalty indeed and Kane will be kicking himself for that
It's all falling apart for Liverpool. They somehow drift a loose ball into the box, Kane goes after it and puts it out of the path of the keeper who seems to have tripped him, referee points to the spot. He then has a long conversation with his assistant who seems to have told him that Karius doesn't deserve a red
Wanyama from goodness knows where, that is an absolute cracker! Karius punches away a cross and it falls to Wanyama who wraps his right foot around it from at least 5 metres out and it curles into the top left corner. That is a goal for the ages
Spurs can be thankful of the fact that it is not a bigger deficit than this. They have made quite a few defensive errors but have somehow managed to mop up after that to parry away the Liverpool shots and crosses. And this is exactly what would be bother Jurgen Klopp at half time.
Alexander-Arnold and Ben Davies go for the same ball, both of them end up missing and Alexander-Arnold ends up with hos studs landing on Davies' heels. He gets a yellow for that
And that chance came when Spurs managed to counter following a Liverpool free kick. Milner floated the ball in from the left midfield into the box and finds Van Dijk, Lloris saved it and launched the ball forward
Chance for Spurs! Son somehow runs parrallel to the box and puts into the path of Eriksen who runs into the from the right. He takes the shot and it is saved by Karius who spreads himself in front of the Spurs midfielder.
Pressing. That is what is happening in this match and most of it is being done by Liverpool. Everytime Spurs do get forward, they almost immediately have to come scampering back to stop a Liverpool counter.
Spurs have had their moments but Liverpool have looked the far better side. A beautiful piece of passing play in front of the Spurs box came to an end when Robertson hit the ball soaring above the crossbar from a good distance outside the box. Not many of his team mates would be impressed with that
Alexander-Arnold with a sumptuous ball into the box from just inside the Spurs box and it reaches Milner in the box. Milner takes a shot at it and it took a deflection before worrying Lloris and going out of play.
And straight away, Liverpool are ahead. Dier somehow puts a ball into the path of Mohammed Salah who is home free, makes no mistake and calmly places it into the bottom right. Spurs pretty much put a bullet through their own knees over there
With James Milne, the Liverpool no. 7. The Reds are into the attack straightaway, pressurising the Spurs defence to the hilt

Spurs gave Jose Mourinho a grumpy face when they hosted Manchester United in the match before this. Now they have a chance to make Jurgen Klopp grind his teeth till they powder up but beating Liverpool at Anfield has proven to be almost impossible since the German took over.
