Essence of Oman, sultanate’s largest and premier tourism expo, to be held from March 12-14

Muscat -

The first edition of Oman’s largest and premier tourism exhibition will take place from March 12-14 at the new Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, in Muscat.

The show is organised with a unique concept to encourage the tourism operators, government, private organisations, companies and the public to take part together in promoting Oman as a global destination for investment as well as leisure, helping achieve the country’s vision to boost the economy and employment from this sector and to create a sustainable tourism of Oman.

This is a unique event for Oman aimed to gather all sectors of tourism to showcase their scopes, best achievements and capabilities, promote their services, products or technology and to be together as a task force in driving the tourism in Oman for a better future.

It offers great opportunities to tourism business operators as well as those businesses who want to link their activities with the tourism in Oman.

“I encourage participation of all tourism business operators in Oman from small, medium or large enterprises, as well as companies who want to tie their scope of works with the tourism or to develop their line of business. This will be a great opportunity for organisations and individuals to explore what the future can and will deliver,” said Mohammed al Raqadi, chief executive officer of Althuriya International, the expo organiser.

He added, “The registration is now open. Participation can be done online through the expo website www.essenceofoman-expo.com or by contacting our specialised service team to enquire availability.”

“We are sure that an event like this will benefit the tourism of the country more as it provides the right platform for the relevant business as service and products providers, and those who want to get engaged with it, which eventually will help the community as well in progressing towards a better future,” said Hassan al Zadjali, expo manager.

The participation to the show is open to local and international companies as well as government organisations and entities and the public.

The fair will be held from 10am to 9pm during those three consecutive days, giving a great opportunity for people of different walks of life to benefit from this opportunity.

The three-day trade show themed as ‘Essence of Oman’ is a unique moment of gathering where tourism professionals and business or leisure individuals meet, engage, share and explore new opportunities and things and benefit from the networking. Not only that, the event also aims to increase knowledge and spread awareness about the potential opportunities in the sultanate’s tourism sector. It is also aimed to provide an impetus to the tourism in the region.

“We are honoured to hold this show for the first time in Oman itself and hopefully it can be part of Oman’s event to promote Oman as a great potential, as a global investment destination in the tourism in which the country’s leaders are currently working aggressively to develop the sector and implement great efforts in sustainable tourism at the same time. This is a great opportunity for the people to benefit from such progress and help the country’s economy develop increasingly well. We need to support the government’s efforts for the country. We are sure that Essence of Oman will attract many interested investors as well as visitors,” said Raqadi.

Eva Mulyana, expo director as well as general manager of the company, that organises the expo, said, “The expo is divided into five categories expo under one roof; therefore, it can benefit business operators and potential buyers or customers well. This way, people who are engaged can stay focused and it is meant to emphasise the promotion, development and sustainability of each business category.”

This will enable businesses to choose which market segment they want to promote and develop.
