The 33-year-old former Emmerdale actress and the Spanish native were enjoying time together behind-the-scenes ahead of their Glasgow show last night when their cosy chat was interrupted by an over-excited Janette Manrara, 34.

The Strictly Come Dancing dancing professional filmed herself excitedly getting ready for the show as she ran into a backstage dressing room and took Gorka by surprise.

Janette skipped into the room as she told her Instagram followers: “Woo, I’m feeling pumped, I am so excited,” before she was interrupted by Gemma Atkinson who said: “Oh you scared him,” referring to Gorka as she mocked his impression.

Gemma burst into laughter at Gorka’s reaction, while the Strictly hunk didn’t seem too impressed and gave a sarcastic smirk to the camera.

Janette’s hilarious video was posted shortly after Gemma filmed herself and Gorka backstage together ahead of the show.

The soap star complimented her rumoured boyfriend as she sat with him before he headed to the stage with Alexandra Burke, 29.

She told her 543,000 followers: “Backstage looking all smart, getting ready to dance…”

Gorka then waved to the camera as the blonde laughed at his antics.

The former Hollyoaks star and Gorka have been spending a lot of time together since the BBC series came to and end last year, fuelling ongoing dating rumours over the past month.

The pair have been regularly updating their social media accounts with pictures of them alone as they have enjoyed meetings away from the group during the nationwide tour.

Earlier this week, they next to each other as Gemma documented their plane journey while they headed to Glasgow for their next run of shows with their Strictly co-stars.

During the video, the duo exchanged banter as Gorka mocked her fear of flying.

He said to the camera: “I don’t like flying, I’m scared,” before revealing to Gemma’s followers that it was actually her who was frightened to fly.

“Once I’m up I’m fine,” she replied. "I just don’t take like taking off.”

Throughout last month the pair were captured enjoying a coffee date, a meal at a swanky restaurant and regular trips to the gym.

Despite ongoing speculation that the pair are dating, Gemma has refused to admit or deny the claims.

When asked about the duo’s alleged relationship in a recent interview, she told Express.co.uk: “Not gonna go there. A private life is a happy life.”
