KPCC president G Parameshwara said on Saturday that the state Congress or the party's high-command would tell Goa's Congress leaders to co-operate in sharing the waters of River Mahadayi through an out-of-the-tribunal settlement, if Goa issues a government order to allow Karnataka use 7.56 tmc feet of water for drinking purpose.
Addressing a convention of Congress workers here, he said the Goa government did not reply to 16 letters written by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, seeking appointment for a discussion on the issue.
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar suddenly wrote a 'love letter' to state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa. What kind of politics is this? BJP leaders in Karnataka are also behaving irresponsibly on this issue, he said.
"BJP president Amit Shah said in Mysuru recently that the Union government gave Rs three lakh crore to the state government, but the Congress government had misappropriated that. In fact, the Centre gave only Rs 84,561 crore to the state under the 14th Finance Commission grants. If there is any corruption, let them release documents. People will decide," Parameshwara said.
