22-year-old female found dead in Lake Andes

LAKE ANDES -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 22-year-old female in Lake Andes.

The body, who is identified as Tessa Joseph, of Lake Andes, was discovered early Saturday morning near the Lake Andes Farmers Co-op Grain Elevator. Joseph was last seen before her death Friday morning.

The Charles Mix County County Sheriff’s Office and the S.D. Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Other assisting agencies include the Wagner Police Department and the Yankton Sioux Tribal Police.
