Sports meet on ‘Swachh Bharat’ theme held in Vadodara

VADODARA: A pre-school in the city recently organised its annual sports meet by creatively linking the 'Swachh Bharat' theme with the sports activities.

Little Millennium Manjalpur had organised its first sports meet at SRP Group-1 cricket ground at Lal Baug in which march pass, drill and yoga, various types of races, chair Zumba dance and tug-of-war for parents apart from other entertainment programmes for participants were held by linking all the activities with the central theme of 'Swachh Bharat'.


The event highlighted the importance of saving nature by protecting environment, saving trees and water, preventing pollution and making the world a better place to live.


The event was graced by Col Ranjeet Kumar from the Indian Army as chief guest, deputy superintendent of police Y M Patel and B K Jaat and Rina Sengupta, academic head of the school as guests of honour.


Kumar highlighted the importance of sports in team building and character building of the young minds and congratulated the school team for conducting the sports meet with the unique theme.
