William 'Bill' Cox Ellwood City William "Bill" Cox, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Twp. Born in Beaver Falls on June 27, 1942, Bill was the son of the late Everett and Martha Schwartz Cox. After Bill retired from B&W, he worked for several years at Camp Kon-O-Kwee. Bill served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He loved riding and restoring vintage motorcycles and he also loved his black lab, Cole. A lifetime member of the NRA, Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and Castlewood Rod & Gun Club. Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Karen Young; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Eric Stephens of New Bloomfield, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Nixon of New Waterford, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by five brothers, Everett, Eugene, Richard, Charles and Thomas, and two sisters, Louise and Marcie. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, at the JOSEPH A. TOMON JR. FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport.
