DUBAI: Scores of elite falconers have sprung into action as the sixth edition of the Fakhr Al Ajyal (Pride of the Generation) Championship for Falconry Telwah begins. The second and most prestigious falconry championship which will continue until Feb.15 will see the participation of hundreds of elite falconers vying for coveted prizes, and will also be qualified for the ‘Noukhba’ (Elite) Super Finals to be held on the last day of the tournament.
There will be an element of surprise in the Fakhr Al Ajyal Championship for Falconry Telwah this season, as it has been worked off under a new format where participants will vie for Trophy, Car or Cash in each category.
The first day of competition scheduled to commence at 9 am will see five races in the Sheikhs category for Jeer Shaheen Farkh and Jernas falcons, Farkh – Trophy, Farkh – Car, Farkh – Cash, Jernas - Trophy and Jernas – Car. The schedules will be available on the official social media channels of HHC with the integrated electronic registration having eased time and effort for falconers.
