Class 4A, District 3: Santa Fe, Masters enter postseason ranked

Quick Hits: Oviedo Masters Academy appears to be the team to beat and is ranked eighth by Source Hoops and seventh by Maxpreps.com. Santa Fe Catholic is close by and is ranked seventh by Source Hoops and 13th by Maxpreps.com.

With just four teams in the district, one win will translate into both a regional playoff and district championship game berth. Santa Fe won 17 games entering February but has lost to Cornerstone Charter twice this year, 41-29 and 54-45. They square off Tuesday.

Freshman Kassidy Jones, coach Kim Jones’ daughter, leads the Hawks in scoring at 14.5 points, and sophomore Shelby Ricks is right behind her with 14 points. The Hawks shoot 42 percent from the field.

Lakeland Christian returns to the postseason after playing a junior-varsity schedule last season.
