Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa seeks donations of new or used construction materials and home improvement supplies to stock the Habitat ReStore at 1120 35th St., Suite B, Tuscaloosa. Open Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. All proceeds will be used to support Habitat’s construction work. Call 349-4620 or visit tuscaloosarestore.org.

Sickle Cell Association

The Sickle Cell Disease Association of West Alabama, 3011 Fifth St., Northport, needs donations of deodorant, bleach, diapers, cotton swabs, hand lotion, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, toothpaste, soap, office supplies such as copy paper, sticky notes, pens and postage stamps, also new flooring for area up to 1500 square feet and/or rugs. Call 758-1761.

The Wings of Grace Relief Center

The Wings of Grace Relief Center needs donations of clothing (especially plus sizes), shoes, toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes), food (canned goods and non-perishable items), and monetary donations. Also any furniture and home accessories. Hours of operation are Thursday and Friday 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (for clients, bring current valid driver’s license and proof of income). Donation dropoff and preparations for assisting clients is 1-4:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday. All donated items are given away free. Call 759-1039, Terri Hibbard, director.
