The Algerian has gone AWOL at Leicester after failing to secure a move to Manchester City on deadline day.

It is believed Pep Guardiola’s side tabled a bid in the region of £60m for him, but the Foxes slapped a £90m price-tag on their star man and refused to buckle for anything lower.

Reports claim Mahrez was left “depressed” with the outcome, and has his heart set on leaving the King Power in the summer.
