Real Madrid are expected to overhaul their squad at the end of the campaign with Los Blancos’ current plight showing no signs of slowing up.
Zinedine Zidane’s side slumped to a disappointing 2-2 draw away at Levante last night, in a result that suggests they may struggle to secure Champions League football for next season.
Isco was left on the bench for that match and, despite impressing at the start of the campaign, a parting of the ways could be in the offing if he continues to be overlooked.
And Spanish website Don Balon thinks the Spain international may leave Real Madrid for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the end of the season.
City are well-placed to win the Premier League title, sitting 13 points clear of second-placed Manchester United.
But, despite that, Guardiola is expected to spend big in the summer.
Another midfielder is on their radar with David Silva entering the twilight years of his career.
Isco would fit the bill with his Spanish style likely to compliment Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho in the middle of the park.
And Don Balon claim Ronaldo thinks his team-mate may be tempted to chance his arm at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola has reportedly been in contact with the midfielder about a potential summer move.
Yet Isco may not be the only Real player set to be shown the door.
Los Blancos may cut Dani Ceballos loose with the player struggling following his arrival from Real Betis in August.
And Marco Asensio could also be tempted to go.
Like Isco, the Spain international has struggled for game time at the Bernabeu.
Manchester United and Chelsea are supposedly keen on him but whether Asensio decides to turn his back on Madrid remains to be seen.
