Ex-Nepal King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev would join the scheduled International Gau Sambardhana Mahotsav and Gomata Mandir foundation-stone laying ceremony to be held at Rathipur near Jatni on February 7.
Shree Marg, a socio-cultural organisation, is organising the mega event to popularise Hindu rituals as well as the applied spirituality, organisation secreaty Sibasis Satapathy and member Samir Samal told a Press conference here on Saturday.
“We work especially among youths to promote applied spirituality. Shree Marg’s ‘Wow Cow Mission’ is to revive the extinct Indian desi cow in every home which will further boost the economy, agriculture and nutrition,” said Satapathy.
Before the stone-laying ceremony, a Go Biswasanti Mahayajna would be held from February 3 to 7. The Mandir construction would be completed by early 2020 while a Goshala has already started functioning in a 3.5-acre land near Rathipur, he said.
“This is noble and sacred opportunity for all of us as the King of Nepal will be doing the Go Pujan, which will further encourage people to do the same. The Raj Sambardhana of the king will be done by public and dignitaries on that day,” said Samal.
Odisha and Nepal share a very rich cultural bond because of Lord Jagannath. Notably, there is an exquisite Jagannath Temple outside the palace gates of Nepal where the royal family worships the lord, said he.
