Hudson takes 2nd at LCAA championships

The Tecumseh wrestling team won the Southeastern Conference White Division on Saturday at the league championships hosted by Bedford.

Overall, Tecumseh took second with 243 1/2 points. Bedford won the Red Division and overall title with 245 1/2 points. Adrian finished fifth overall and third in the White Division.

The Indians produced 12 placers and champions Vince Perez (112), Kellen Patton and Ryan Roberts (189). 

Taking second was Josh Hilton (119) and Kyle Yuhas (140). Finishing third were Jeremiah Torres (103), Rolando Robison (130) and Gabe Bechtol (160). Victor Coscarelli was fouth (130), while Mychal Brayn (285) placed fifth. Andrew Winkler (145) and Jackson Danley (215) were each sixth. Danley was also the sportsmanship award winner for Tecumseh.

Adrian had two SEC champions: Ray Torres (103) and Hunter Krueger (215).

Gabe Guerrero (145) and Isaac Ramirez (152) were second for the Maples. Taking third place was Ramiro Guerrero and Ethan Spagnoli (119), while Marco Guerrero (285) was fourth. Jeremiah Brooket (171) placed sixth.

David Griesinger (16) was named the sportsmanship award winner for Adrian.

LCAA Championships: At Hudson, Division 4 top-ranked Hudson produced four champions and 13 placers en route to finishing second at the Lenawee County Athletic Association championships in its home gym. 

Division 3 top-ranked Dundee won the tournament with 248 points. Hudson was second at 206 1/2, and Division 3 No. 9 Ida was third at 145. Blissfield was fifth (35) and Onsted sixth (30).

Hudson’s champions were Caden Natale (112), Scott Torres (125), Jordan Hamdan (130) and Carson Price (140).

Finishing second for the Tigers were Tyler Curtis (135), Jorge Sereno (145), John Betz (152), Spencer Blanco (189) and Alex Price (285). Placing third were Dallas Pibbles (103) and CJ Berro (119), while Blake Borck (171) and Kyle Moll (215) took fourth.

Blissfield finished with four placers, three of whom finished third: Andrew Coopshaw (160), Evan Moore (189) and Brian Goetz (215). Garrett Waggoner was fourth (285). 

For Onsted, Matthew Wilharms was second (171), Bailey Wesley third (130) and Michael Blankenship fourth (160).

Madison Invitational: Division 4 No. 2-ranked Clinton won the individual tournament with 14 placers, seven champions and 311 1/2 points.

Perkins (Ohio) was second at 241 1/2, and Sand Creek was third (115). Madison was fourth (101), Tecumseh eighth (80), Blissfield (44), Hudson 12th (39) and Onsted 13th (34 1/2).

Finishing first for Clinton was AJ Baxter (103), Christian Minard (119), Noah Comar (125), Jeffrey Konz (145), Brayden Randolph (160), Trent Sexton (215) and Don Stump (285). Second place went to Spencer Konz (130), Garrett Phillips (152), Eathan Hicks (171).

Clinton’s third-place finishers were Brandon Beach (112), Anthony Stockdale (135), Riley Jeffrey (140) and Cecil Rafferty (171).

Sand Creek’s Mitchell Moore (145), Nolan Pickles (189) and Tony Greenman (285) were second. Colton Ruetz (119) and Cole Gatt (171) were fourth, while Ryan Lakatos (160) was fifth and Dylan Benn (112) sixth.

Nick Adams won the 130 division for Madison. Dylan Dopp (125) was fourth, while Tyler Moyer (152) and Gabe Kirkendal (189) were fifth. Javier Salazar (160) was sixth.

For Tecumseh, Trent Tidswell was second at 215. Byron Tate was third (215), while Lucas Petty (130) and Nick Tincher (140) were fourth. Chandler Elizardo (112) was fifth and Aaron Ebersole sixth (135).

Blissfield’s Matthew Bischoff was third at 189 and Dean Swanson sixth at 285.

For Hudson, Dylan Smith (125) was second, and Tyler Boenbaugh (103) placed third. Onsted’s Dylan Erway (152) took fourth, while Tyrick Cast was fifth (140). 

Morenci’s Camden Miller was third at 160.

Addison at Cascades Championships: At Jackson, the Division 4 No. 9-ranked Panthers finished second at the league tournament hosted by East Jackson to finish second overall in the Cascades this season behind fourth-ranked Manchester.

Winning league championships for Addison were Dakota Knieper, Hunter Dart and Donovan Underwood. 

Taking second were Jannya Boorman, Brendan Ford and Luke Yackee. Third-place finishes were achieved by Nathan Rodlund, Dylan Malinowski, Isaiah Beatty and Garrett Bernath.
