Golden Sixties

The Golden Sixties met at The Stop Nine Senior Activity Center on Jan. 25 with 43 members attending. Woody Biggs opened the meeting by singing the Golden Sixties welcome songs. Woody then led the group in singing several gospel songs. Afterward, the group recited The Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer.

First-time guests were John and Patty Westover of Kimbolton.

Woody's Bible study was titled "Show Respect to Everyone" and was taken from

I Peter chapter 1.

Woody read the prayer list, prayed for the sick and gave thanks for the food.

After lunch, January birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated. The cake went to Betty Mackley, and flowers to Arnold VanHorn, Jake Davis and Tom and Bev Snyder.

In memorial was given for Virginia Smith.

After lunch, a DVD of the "Honeymooners" was shown to the group. That was a very entertaining show.
