1 killed in firing by ex-armyman during marriage in UP

A man was killed and another injured when an ex-armyman allegedly opened fire after arguments with locals during a marriage ceremony in Hazratpur village here, police said today. Mahendra Singh, the ex-armyman, allegedly passed objectionable comments on women singing songs during the ceremony last night, Circle said. The villagers objected to it and following arguments locked Mahendra Singh in a room, he said. An agitated Mahendra Singh opened fire from his licensed rifle in which David and one other got hit, the said.
