The tail-end of a cold front will bring scattered rain over Eastern Visayas, while the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect Northern and Central Luzon, the weather bureau said in its Sunday morning forecast.

The Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain due to amihan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.

It said the Visayas, the Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao and the Zamboanga Peninula would experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the tail-end of a cold front.

Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain.

Pagasa added the rest of the country would have localized thunderstorms. /cbb
