Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan seems to have turned himself in to the media as hot news. The regional media on Saturday went to town with the story of his spectacles which cost a neat Rs 49,000. A RTI application has revealed that Sreeramakrishnan got a refund of Rs 45,000 for the lens and Rs 4,900 for the frame, a sum total of Rs 49,900.
