Intense conditions sweeping most parts of further intensified as the minimum temperatures dropped by a few notches. Keylong was the coldest in the region with a low of minus 8 degrees Celsius, while Manali and Kalpa recorded the minimum temperatures at minus 2.6 degrees Celsius and minus 2.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Bhuntar 1.8 degrees Celsius, Solan 2 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 2.3 degrees Celsius, Shimla 4 degrees Celsius, Una 4.6 degrees Celsius, Palampur 5.6 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 7.4 degrees Celsius and Nahan 8.4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological (MeT) office has forecast rains or snow in the mid and higher hills tomorrow and again on February 9 as a fresh western disturbance lies over the region from February 9 and dry in the rest of the state for the rest of the days. However, maximum temperatures remained steady in the mid and lower hills, while tribal areas recorded marginal rise in the day temperatures.
