Arsenal join Mahrez hunt

06.30: Arsenal are ready to battle Manchester City for Leicester star Riyad Mahrez, it is being reported.

The Daily Star say that Arsenal are hoping to tempt the Algerian to the Emirates Stadium.

But they will face competition from City who had a £60million bid knocked back in January.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be closely monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation.

Liverpool want Jack Wilshere

06.00: Liverpool are hoping to land Jack Wilshere on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to repots.

The England international’s contract is due to expire in the summer and he has yet to agree on an extension at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have offered him a reduced deal from his current £90,000-a-week because of his injury problems.

But the Sun say that Liverpool will match his current contract if he follows former team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and moves to Merseyside.

Man Utd target £10m Kluivert

05.30: Manchester United have reportedly entered advanced talks to sign Ajax wonderkid Justin Kluivert.

Kluivert, son on Dutch star Patrick, knows Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho from when he was a coach at Barcelona.

The Mirror report that United are close to agreeing a fee of around £10million, plus add-ons, for the 18-year-old.

United fans will be aware of the forward as he started against them in the Europa League final last season.
