'Macedonia is Greece': A look back at the decades-old row

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend the 'Macedonia is Greece' rally in the Greek capital, Athens, over the use of the term "Macedonia" by the neighbouring former Yugoslav Republic.

Greece will not allow Macedonia to become a member of NATO or the European Union without an agreement on the matter.

Both governments have signalled they are willing to compromise, but convincing their voters may be a more difficult matter.
