After Bangladesh's strong start on Day 1 of this first Test in Chittagong, it would've been hard to imagine they would be pegged onto the back foot to the extent of which they are at the moment. They are not just playing catch-up now, but are also seven wickets away from an innings defeat, thanks to the dominance of the Sri Lankan batsmen.

The hosts would have hoped for some resistance from their top order on a pitch that isn't doing much, but having had lost three wickets by the end of Day 4, trailing Sri Lanka by 119 runs, it doesn't seem very promising for the hosts to pull off a draw. After Mushfiqur's departure last evening, their hopes would be pinned on Mominul Haque, who got 176 in the first innings.
