Girls Basketball Roundup: Early lead helps Arcadia stop New Riegel

ARCADIA — Arcadia’s Kennedy Pratt recorded a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Redskins topped New Riegel 48-38 in nonleague girls basketball action Saturday.
Danielle Burnett chipped in 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, for Arcadia (15-3). Emma Saltzman had eight points and 11 rebounds.
Brianna Gillig’s 16 points and 11 rebounds led the Blue Jackets (9-9). Kaitlyn Kirian had 12 points.

TONTOGANY — Otsego’s Brynne Limes took charge in the fourth quarter as the Knights slipped past McComb 45-41 in a nonconference game.
Limes, who didn’t score in the first half, netted 17 of her game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter. She scored 17 of Otsego’s 18 points hitting three 3-point goals and going 4 of 4 from the line.
Ellie Roberts added nine points and eight rebounds for Otsego (9-9), while Limes had nine boards.
Malorie Schroeder scored 13 points, snatched nine rebounds and added four assists for McComb (8-10). Lauren Grubb chipped in nine points.

Makayla Elmore just missed a double-double for the Chieftains (14-4) as she scored 20 points with nine rebounds. Olivia Zender tossed in 13 points, Emily Pace and Hailey Coppus both scored 11 points and Jacquelyn Burns added 10. Coppus had a solid all-around game as she added seven assists and six steals.
Emily Roberts scored six points for the Golden Bears (5-12).

McKayla Maag had a game-high 14 points for Kalida (12-7, 4-1 PCL), while Sarah Klausing and Lauren Langhals added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Kayla Ferguson had nine points for the Rockets (3-15, 1-5 PCL). Lexie Neuenschwander chipped in eight points.

Zoe Shank, one of only four players who scored for the Royals (13-6), netted 23 points with six rebounds. Peighton Troike added nine points.
