GEORGE TOWN: Stop accepting free coffee sachets from strangers, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam advised the public today.
This is following another two persons who became delirious immediately after consuming the durian white coffee powdered drink.
Seven people fell ill after drinking the coffee which were handed over to them by strangers recently.
Subramaniam said that there was no need to boycott the original coffee mixture but he advised the public to practise caution.
There were five other contaminated coffee cases in the past 10 days. They were mostly confined to Pulau Tikus.
The minister urged the police to assist the health authorities to speedily track down the culprits behind this attempt to poison people and to create mischief.
