RAJKOT: A high profile sex racket was busted in an apartment near KV Hall on
Kalawad Road in Rajkot on Saturday. Police arrested two accused and rescued four women.
The Rajkot crime branch officials, who conducted the raid and effected the arrest, said they had received a tip-off about one Ravindra Rawal alias Ashish running a prostitution den in his flat at
Sagar Apartments.
"We sent a policeman decoyed as a customer who exposed the racket. We detained four women from West Bengal, who had been brought there to work as prostitutes and arrested Rawal and his accomplice
Brijesh Gotecha, a resident of
Green Hill Square near
Cosmoplex Cinema on Kalawad Road," a crime branch official.
Meanwhile, both Rawal and Gotecha have been booked under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act.
