ALLIANCE  Walsh's indoor track and field teams combined for 10 wins in Saturday's Jim Wuske Invitational at Mount Union.

Megan Soehnlen set a meet record in winning the 800-meter run for the Cavaliers, ranked seventh nationally among NCAA Division II women's teams. Her time was 2:20.71.

Jetaiya Smith won the 400 by over a second in 59.44. Katie Mokros finished first in the 60 in 7.83. Malia Turley claimed the weight throw with a distance of 14.8 meters. Morrisa Mallory won the shot put with a throw of 13.16 meters. Kaitlyn Barber cleared 3.96 meters on her first attempt to win the pole vault.

In men's events, Walsh's Ed Walsh got the day started with a win in the 3,000 in 9:02.68. Lane Knoch finished first in the 60 hurdles in 8.33.

Marcus Myers won the weight throw with a distance of 18.85 meters. Dante Penza finished first in the shot put with a throw of 16.28 meters.
