Union County was the lone road winner from the area on Saturday, taking two matches in the 4A playoffs.

The Yellow Jackets, the No. 2 seed from Region II-4A, defeated No. 3 seed Greenville 42-31 in the Airport High School pod, then defeated the host and No. 1 seed Eagles 56-24. Union County advanced to travel to South Pointe in Monday’s third round.

In other 4A action, Greer fell to Belton-Honea Path 46-36.

In the 5A playoffs, three area teams lost on the road.

Dorman defeated Woodmont 48-24 to advance to the second round, but fell to No. 1 seed Rock Hill. Dorman took pinfall wins at 106 and 220 pounds and a 9-5 decision at 138 pounds, but the Bearcats were dominant in the other weight classes, winning eight matches by pin and two more by technical fall.

In other 5A action, Boiling Springs fell to J.L. Mann 39-31 and Spartanburg lost to Easley 46-36 in a pair of first-round matches.

Woodruff defeated Walhalla in the first round but fell to Indian Land 64-9 in the second round of the 3A playoffs, while Chesnee lost to Cheraw in the second round of the 2A playoffs 41-34. Landrum won a first-round matchup against High Point Academy 54-27, but fell to Liberty 74-6 in the second round.
